Only Mount Emei has retained some old villages at the foot of Mount Emei and built a large live theater, covering an area of 78,000 square meters. Among them, the "Under the Cloud" Theater was reconstructed from the site of the relocation of the old village, retaining 27 yards, 48 houses, 395 rooms and 4355 old objects with a sense of history. In one brick, one tile, one street and one lane, the historical culture, human stories, folk customs and other elements of Mount Emei are transformed into scene stories, performance experiences, etc., to stimulate cultural resonance of tourists
The exterior of the theater is decorated with 500000 pieces of small green tiles and 90000 pieces of large colored glass tiles. When night falls, the tiles will give off different colors of brilliance.
"Cloud" is an open square, which is composed of 25 original western Sichuan folk houses with large areas of white gravel paved square ground. It creates a dreamlike fairyland of Emei and a dreamlike realm of fairyland in the misty and colorful "fog" and sound and light effects. "Under the cloud" is the world. Here, time flies back to 1980, when 80 households, 27 yards, 248 people living in Gaohe Village, Emeishan City, and Shenzhen Construction Company came to the village to recruit workers, a true portrayal of different families and people. The "Under the Cloud" Theater retains 27 courtyards, 48 buildings and 395 rooms from the site of the relocation of the old village of Gaohe Village, the main town of Emei Mountain and Sichuan, and depicts the "rural atlas" of the 1980s with realistic scene design, full characterization and 4355 historical objects
