In 2017, Handan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People's Government launched the reconstruction and expansion project of Handan Airport, which was officially started in May 2018, and was included in the provincial and municipal key construction projects and the top ten livelihood projects of Handan in 2019.
The total investment for this reconstruction and expansion is 719 million yuan. It is planned to build a terminal of 18000 square meters, add 7 aircraft stands, configure 5 boarding bridges, cover the runway with 15cm asphalt concrete, add runway centerline lights, and build a local parallel taxiway, a vertical taxiway, apron, hangar, etc.
The central control room of the airport intelligent lighting system is very far from the on-site distribution box, so RS485/optical fiber conversion mode is adopted, which is divided into seven optical fiber circuits to connect dozens of intelligent lighting switch modules and intelligent panels in the on-site distribution box, so as to realize the combination of centralized management and local operation.
