LED dimmer is the name of LED constant current driving power supply whose output current varies with input voltage.
The power IC detects the change of input voltage, so as to adjust the duty cycle of its internal PWM signal, so that the output current changes with the change of input voltage, and the brightness of the LED lamp also changes accordingly.
The light regulator connected to the L line you mentioned should be a silicon controlled voltage regulator. The output voltage of the voltage regulator is changed by changing the conduction angle of the internal silicon controlled through the external knob, which changes the input voltage of the LED dimmer connected behind, and changes the brightness of the LED through the role of the LED dimmer.
